11 Jan The FOAL Chronicles #4 – New Year, New FOAL(s)
#4 – New Year, New FOAL(s)
Happy New Year!
Well, it turns out December was a pretty busy month both socially and from a business perspective. Firstly, apologies for the delayed nature of this blog, I had intended to write over the festive period. However, FOAL cocktails took over and tip #1 is to avoid drink-blogging.
Not one for breaking tradition, I thought I would share some of FOAL’s New Year’s Resolutions for 2017:
New Year, New FOAL(s)
We are currently, rather excitingly, going through the tasting phase for new flavours. The plan is to launch these awesome new tastes in time for Spring, so that you all have some refreshing new flavours to enjoy just in time for the light coming back to the country. The darkness right now really is a bummer, right?
As you will know, we are currently working with the awesome Lomond Fine Foods who are helping us to distribute FOAL Orange and Lemonade throughout Scotland. In order to further boost brand awareness and allow even more people to enjoy FOAL, we hope to begin working with another 4 wholesalers within the first six months of 2017. This will mean FOAL can reach a whole new customer base, hopefully further south in England. Watch this space to see if we are indeed successful…
At the moment FOAL is mainly focusing on the lunchtime market, with busy people now able to grab their favourite bar mixed flavour without relying on the bartender. This is awesome and our consumers seem to love this opportunity. However, in order to grow even more, FOAL would love to be on offer in more bars and restaurants. This will mean people can turn to FOAL instead of the traditional, sugary canned juices as well as being able to enjoy your favourite FOAL as a mixer with your favourite spirit. With your help in telling everyone about FOAL, the brand will become recognisable enough to even be noticed in the dingy fridges allocated to soft drinks in bars. Let’s do this!
The final resolution is one which we have been working on behind the scenes (even more secret than the new flavours). With a little bit of luck we will have some news about this one round about March time, which would make a huge difference to FOAL as well as the Scottish soft drinks community. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for some, hopefully, exciting news.
I hope you are all feeling super refreshed and as ready to smash 2017 as we are.
